Celebrity Inspired Makeup: Marilyn Monroe Look

Holla, beauties! Several weeks ago I had a request from mbak Tintas to make a 50s look. After I browse some source about 50s makeup look, I've found that Marilyn Monroe was an icon from 50s. So, from that I decided to make a look inspired from Marilyn Monroe and also to fulfill the request from mbak Tintas. Yaiy! *challenge accomplished*

Here are Marilyn Monroe's pictures :

taken from here

And below are me (trying sooooooo haaaaaard) to be looks like Marilyn Monroe :

Product used:

Face :
- Revlon New Complexion liquid foundation
- Revlon Love-Pat pressed powder

Eyes :
- Purbasari  P Series Eye Shadow in Tranquil Blue
- Inez Color Contour Plus Eye Shadow Collection in Venice
- Viva Eye Brow Pencil in Black
- Silkygirl Double Intense Gel Eyeliner in Pure Black

Cheeks :
- Revlon Naturally Glamorous Blush On in Soft Spoken Pink

Lips :
- Viva Lipstick (5)

I know it isn't close enough. But I'm trying to make it as similar as possible. :(

The differences between the real Marilyn Monroe and the look that I created is I'm not wearing the bob-cut curly blonde wig. Also the mole is misplaced! (I realized it after I finished cleaning my face from the makeup. *sigh* I'm too lazy to remake it again. :P) And the huge differences between me and her is SHE IS REALLY HOT AND SEXY, but I'm not. T__T

Alright, thanks for reading, beauties. I hope you're inspired. Follow me if you don't mind, okay? ^^ See you next time, and stay BEAUTIFUL! *kisses*

hahahaha, please don't laugh ^^

DIY: Rice Flour Mask

Hello, beauties! Here is another beauty tips for your skin that easy and cheap to make by yourself. Interested? Let's check it out! ^^

pictures taken from Google

All of you know rice, right? Rice is our main food. Everybody eat rice. Beside rice can be eaten, rice also can make our skin healthy and glow. I bet you have read or heard about the use of rice as skincare treatment. People all over the world use rice on their skin for different reasons. Apparently the ‘myth’ is that rice water is supposed to whiten the skin, as well as soften and treat various ailments like acne and eczema

Rice has been used for centuries by women in Asia for beautiful skin and hair. It is an excellent skin toner and hair wash. Rice contains "pitera" along with many vitamins and minerals. Pitera is beneficial for revitalizing skin’s natural glow and gives you clear skin. It is used in many expensive skin care products which claim to make your skin crystal clear.

So, from that source, I think it would be good if we are using rice flour as mask for our face. You only need :

1. Rice flour. You can use from any rice flour brand. It would be better if you can make your own rice flour by grinds the rice, but, it will waste your time, right? ^^
2. Honey. Honey known as a good substance that should be used in moisturizers, creams, and other beauty products, because it has anti-microbial properties and is known to treat minor irritations and sun burns.
3. Green Tea. I wouldn't explain it, because I bet all of you know that green tea has A LOT benefits to our skin. If you don't know yet, you can read about it here. ^^

Now, what are the steps?

First, pour 1 spoon of rice flour and honey into a small plate. And then mix it.

Again, pour 1 spoon of green tea water into that small plate. And then mix it again.

Apply on your face and neck.

Wait till it dry, for about 20 minutes. Then wash it. Voila! See? My face looks glowing! :D

Still have the rest of the tea leaves? Use it to wash your face! ^^

Easy right? And you can easily find these stuffs around your home! I hope it's useful and inspired for all of you, beauties! See ya, and stay BEAUTIFUL! *kisses*

Review: Revlon ColorStay Mineral Mousse

Hello, beauties! Curious about this product? Before I start, I just want to tell you that all products mentioned in this post are bought by my self, I don't be paid from the company, and the information below are my honest opinion. Go and read it! ^^

Have you ever heard about Revlon ColorStay Mineral Mousse, beauties? I you haven't, here are the pictures so you can take a look on this product :

taken from here

This is my favourite foundation ever. It has a thick creamy texture, but easy to blend. You can blend it with your sponge, foundation brush, or even your finger, but I usually blend with finger (hurry-time factor :P). Yes, it's perfect if you're in hurry, because it's really easy to use. And light weight, too. But, unfortunately, this product is quite expensive, costs about Rp. 125.000,-. But for me this product is worth to buy, hehe. Although this foundation is my favourite, someday I would like to try another type of foundation.

Mine is in shade 060. A little bit bright for me (I think), but it's okay. Someday if I have a chance to buy this foundation again, I would buy one shade darker than mine now. But for now it's still okay and wearable. :P

Here is my own Revlon ColorStay Mineral Mousse :

The ingredients. I'm sorry if it's unreadable :P

It has a small tube hole so you can control its usage

Swatch in my hand. It's blend perfectly ^^

Pros :
(+) Easy to use, perfect if you're in hurry
(+) Easy to blend although it has a thick creamy texture
(+) Light weight, feels like you don't wear any foundie! ^^
(+) The packaging is hygienic and travel-friendly
(+) Small tube hole so you can control the usage
(+) Coverage quite good
(+) It has various shades
(+) Last long, for about 6-7 hours indoor

Cons :
(-) Expensive

Repurchase? Maybe, but one shade darker. ^^

Recommended? Yes, if you like a thick creamy texture foundie.

Thanks for reading, beauties! I hope you're inspired. Follow me if you don't mind, hehe. See ya next time, and stay BEAUTIFUL! *kisses*

Makeup Challenges: Sexy Glassy #Looxgiveaway

Hello, beauties! I make this post because I want to join a contest from Looxperiments. If I win this contest, I will get prizes from Indomakeup.com, yaiy! Wanna join? Read the rules here.

This contest is about re-create their tutorials. And this time, I make her tutorial Sexy Glassy, with a few changes from me, hehe. Wish me luck! *crossing fingers*

Here is my version :

Alright, beauties, this is my VERY FIRST time doing a makeup tutorial. So, please, pretty please, be nice with me if I make some mistakes. ^^
*note: I'm not wearing glasses actually, so you can see that the glasses is too big for me, right? That is my mother's glasses, huahahaha. But, I make this look to increase confidence from every girl that use glasses in her daytime. Because girls in glasses are as beautiful as girls with lenses. (Sorry for the babble. :P)

And these are how to make that look :
1. Apply concealer on the dark circles, and then set with powder

2. Apply eye shadow base

3. While waiting for the eye shadow base to dry, define your eyebrows

4. Apply shimmery white eye shadow on all over your lids

5. Apply gold eye shadow on the outer V on your eyes

6. Apply eyeliner in the upper and lower lash line, make double winged eyeliner. And then apply mascara in the upper and lower lash.

7. Apply your blush on, lip balm, and lip gloss. Don't use a lip color, because you want people to pay attention on your eyes, not your lips. And the most important thing, put your glasses on.

Here are the final result (I didn't edited these photos, I just adjust the brightness and put names on it) :

Quite easy, right? Easy way to make your eyes look stunning! :D

Thanks for reading, beauties! I hope I win this contest! *crossing fingers again* And also I hope you're inspired! See ya next time, and stay BEAUTIFUL! *kisses*

Review: Silkygirl Double Intense Gel Eyeliner in Pure Black

Hello, beauties! Finally doing a review post after spending most of my time in making a makeup look. But, before I start, I just want to tell you that all products mentioned in this post are bought by my self, I don't be paid from the company, and the information below are my honest opinion. Alright, happy reading! ^^

This time I would like to review a gel eyeliner that I bought several weeks ago. It is Silkygirl Double Intense Gel Eyeliner. It is my very first gel eyeliner that I've ever tried. Why I bought this eyeliner? Because I want to try another type of eyeliner, and because at that time this Silkygirl eyeliner is on a discount, hahaha. Usually you can get this eyeliner for about Rp. 50-55.000,-, but I get this eyeliner only for about Rp. 30.000,-. Pretty cut costs! :D

So, here are the pictures I get from Google :

First time I know this brand, I though it's kind of an expensive brand. So, I'm afraid to try this makeup. But, after knowing that this brand is quite affordable, I braced myself to give it a try. And this eyeliner is my first try of this brand, hahaha. :D

And here are mine :

Pros :
(+) It really has an intense black color.
(+) It has sharp hard brush, so you can easily adjust the thickness of your eyeliner.
(+) Hygienic applicator, because it can be hide in the cap. See picture below to see what I mean!

Cons :
(-) It's easily smudge! I really hate easily smudge eyeliner! :(
(-) It doesn't long last.
(-) Doesn't suitable if you're in hurry, hehe.

Repurchase?
No, I think. Most of my time spent in hurry, so it doesn't suitable for me, hehe. I prefer my favourite eyeliner ever, Viva Queen Perfect Shape Liquid Eye Liner. :D

Recommended?
Yes, if you are a beginner that want to try gel eyeliner in a cheap price. ^^

Thanks for coming to my blog, beauties! I hope you're inspired. Follow me if you don't mind, hehe. See ya next time, and stay BEAUTIFUL! *kisses*
